Great Wave Bookmark Kit

Transforming this iconic woodblock print into cross stitch bookmark will allow you to experience the artwork in a new way, adding luster and texture with Six-Strand Embroidery Floss. The print was originally published sometime between 1829 and 1933 in the late Edo period. It is the first print in Hokusai's series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. The Great Wave has gone on to receive acclaim and popularity across Western world. Katsushika Hokusai was a Japanese artist, ukiyo-e painter and printmaker. He is best known for his woodblock print series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (c.1831) which includes the internationally recognized The Great Wave off Kanagawa, created during the 1820s.
