The separate front piece with a built-in full bust adjustment includes pattern instructions to find your perfect fit. A very easy sew, the Lane Raglan is perfect for first forays into knit garments: try the banded wrists and wists to skip over finicky knit hems entirely! Once you find your perfect base fit and know exactly what fabrics will work best for the look you’re going for, you’ll be able to whip up a simple tee in only about 45 minutes.
This fully-featured top is as simple or striking as you want to be, with a ton of versatile mix-and-match options: choose from curved or banded hem with elbow length, 3/4 length, or long sleeves, then add hoods, chest pockets, banded or thumbhole wristbands, colorblocking and more to fill your closet with Lane Raglans for any occasion. The Lane looks great in just about any kind of knit fabric with at least 30% stretch. You can make it in a soft and drapey rayon blend and have a super comfy slouchy top, or use a thicker knit in a larger size for fun hoodies or workout jackets. Fabrics with a stiffer hand like cotton/spandex or cotton/lycra will yield a nicely fitted shirt, whereas fabrics that are blended with bamboo, rayon, silk, or poly will be looser and have more drape.
