The Birch Trousers are designed for energetic kids who love to run around and play! Made from all manner of snuggly knit fabrics, they feature an elasticated waistband and cuffs with the option to add a drawstring at the waist. Whether worn as sweatpants or pajama bottoms, these will keep your kids cozy and comfy day and night!
Recommended Fabrics:
Medium-weight knit fabrics, such as French terry, ponte di Roma, interlock knits, sweatshirt fleece, and cotton jersey.
Materials & Supplies:
-Ballpoint machine needles
-1 yard of 1” elastic for waistband and cuffs
-Drawstring (optional): 1 yard of cord or ribbon and a small piece of knit interfacing
Sizes: Ten sizes from Infant to 6 years.
Difficulty: Beginner. It’s a great pattern for sewists new to knits!
