Merchant & Mills Clementine Skirt

Slim fitting jeans skirt with a back split and shaped waistband. This is a pattern that we would advise making a muslin, firstly to adjust the fit if needed but secondly to familiarize with the pattern instructions. It does not have a traditional run and fell jeans seam. Instead, the seam is topstitched, which is easier to achieve on a domestic machine.

This is a multi-size paper pattern in an envelope, including sizes 6 – 18 (UK). 1.5cm seam allowance is included in the pattern unless otherwise stated.

Recommended Fabrics:
Denim, approx 8 – 12.5 oz (or up to 14oz with a heavy-duty machine). Prewash your fabric for best results. You will also need plain cotton fabric for the pocket bags, such as quilting cotton.

Notions:
-1x metal jeans zip
-7"-1x button, approx 18mm
-Denim/jeans machine needle
-Large eye/topstitch needle
-Spool of all-purpose thread that matches main fabric
-Contrast stitching: spool of heavy-duty or topstitching thread in contrast color, with a spool of matching contrast all-purpose thread to use in the bobbin.

Difficulty: Experienced, but achievable at lower levels if you take it step by step!
