Merchant & Mills Thelma Coveralls

Inspired by traditional workwear, the Thelma by Merchant & Mills is a classic boilersuit translated to a gentler feminine fit. A wardrobe masterpiece, it’s full of functional details, from the front breast pocket and back flap pockets to its covered button placket and cuffable legs. The long sleeve with buttoned cuff is constructed with an interesting seam along the back of the arm, rather than the underarm. Loose enough to fit all shapes, Thelma features a flattering fit shaped with darts in the back and an adjustable button fastening at the waist side. With its stylish structured design, Thelma will take some time to put together, but once it’s done you’ll want to wear it absolutely everywhere!

Recommended Fabrics:
Medium weight wovens, such as denim (5 – 8oz), sanded twill, canvas, stable yarn-dyed linens, linen/wool blends, and poplin.
If you are an experienced sewer, you could try tencel, tencel/linen blends, corduroy, more floppy linens, and prints or checks.
This simple design can be interpreted in many different types of fabric, so experiment to make it your own!
